More gaming talk I guess

Alright I'm gonna yap about the games I've been playing recently again because I dunno what else to do with my time right now.
I beat Fatal Frame 3 on Wednesday...I don't think I've finished it properly because I used cheats to beat the final boss. The boss was just driving me kinda nuts with how hard it was and how long it was taking and I had only Type-14 film and you don't have much time to fully charge your shots. I hate the part where everything slows down and if Reika touches you it's just an instant game over. Getting cheats to work was a pain in the ass as well and I ended up beating the game on an emulator rather than my PS2 with OPL because my PS2 can't read my HDD anymore for some reason it's weird.
I've already started Fatal Frame 4, playing the Wii version with the english fan translation even though they've localised and remastered the game two years ago. Guess I just want the original experience. I'm liking it so far and was interested in it because Grasshoper Manufacture worked on it. They made games such as Killer7 and No More Heroes, the latter being one of my favourites. I feel like maybe giving the first Fatal Frame another go now that I finished 2 and I guess 3.
I came back to Shank a few days ago and got it done. It's this 2D side-scrolling beat 'em up with a cool artstyle. Playing this game juts reminded me of playing both The Dishwasher games back last year. I guess it's because they're both 2D beat 'em ups. I haven't played the game since December last year and I was halfway through the game before leaving it. The game is pretty short, taking me around 2 hours.
I finished Resident Evil 4. I've had this game in my Steam library for almost 5 years but never finished it. Over the years I'd only play up to going into the cabin with Luis for some reason. I'd start a new game over and over again and guess that's why my hours in the game are over 20 hours. I randomly picked the game back up a few days ago and I continued off my save file from last time and for some reason it all just cllicked and I was having fun playing this game. I got scared about some enemies like those Wolverine claw dudes, the regeneradors and Verdugo but they were easy to deal with. I remember buying a rocket launcher and blowing Verdugo up in one hit. The game just feels really nice to play for some reason. I guess it just shows how well the game as aged. The graphics also hold up nicely. I dunno if I wanna give Seperate Ways a go. Normally when I finish a game, that's all. I don't bother to platinum or play side content. I'd like to move on to another game after seeing the credits roll.
I bought F.E.A.R. 2 for PS3 for £4 at CeX today it just randomly came on my mind last night while in bed. I played it back in 2022 on PC and thought it was ok. I still think the first game is really great and that everyone should play it. It felt weird playing F.E.A.R. 2 on the PS3 today, playing with a controller and the frame rate not being that great. I wish the game could allow me to change the button configuration so I could have aim and fire on L1 and R1 because a lot of PS2 and PS3 shooters had those actions mapped to those buttons, so aiming and shooting with L2 and R2 feels weird. Also I swear I have a vivid memory of watching a clip of this game on YouTube on Mom's phone when I was like I dunno 7 years old. I just remember watching gameplay of the level with the school or something. It's weird I can remember a lotta vivid stuff like the videos I watched as a kid.
And that's my blog post for today wow that's a lotta words. I dunno how to wrap this up I'm outta here.
